I originally come from Tunisia, North Africa, a three thousand years old country, bordered by the Mediterranean Sea. Perhaps this is what started my passion for art, and blue in particular.
I was also in the diplomatic corps for almost twenty years which allowed me to travel and to live in different countries – France, Japan, Indonesia, and Brazil, and each country left lots of influences and impact on me. Art was my anchor in this unstable life. I was very curious about art in these countries, and the effects it could have on their people. One thing still that intrigues me are the old symbols found in American and African art, and how similar they are, although geographically, so far from each other. I can't help but to explore that in my art.
